Marine

Cover for goods in transit by sea, air and land, and for the vessels themselves, warehouse to warehouse

Marine insurance covers property while it moves and the vessels that move it. Most importers in Kuwait need cargo cover, while owners and operators also need hull.

  • Cargo for imports, exports and transhipment, on open cover or per shipment
  • Hull and machinery for vessels, including collision liability
  • Inland transit for road movements within Kuwait and to neighbouring markets
  • Institute Cargo Clauses A, B or C determine how wide the cover is
  • War and strikes are covered by separate clauses at additional premium

Cover attaches when goods leave the sending warehouse and ends at the destination named in the policy, subject to a time limit after discharge. Insufficient packing, inherent vice and delay are excluded across all marine wordings.
