Yacht Insurance

Hull damage, third-party liability and crew cover for private and charter vessels within agreed Gulf navigation limits

A yacht policy covers the vessel itself and the liabilities that come with operating it. Cover follows the navigation limits written into the policy, typically Kuwaiti waters and the wider Arabian Gulf.

  • Hull and machinery against collision, grounding, fire, sinking and theft of the vessel
  • Tenders, outboard engines and fixed equipment, listed and valued separately
  • Third-party liability for injury, damage to other vessels and moorings, and wreck removal
  • Crew personal accident and, where applicable, employer's liability
  • Cover while laid up ashore over the summer, usually at a reduced rate

Claims are commonly declined for sailing outside the navigation limits, operating without a qualified skipper, or neglecting the hull and through-hull fittings. Racing and charter use must be declared before the policy is issued.
