Fire and Allied Perils

Named-perils cover for buildings, machinery and stock: fire, lightning, explosion and the perils added by endorsement

The fire policy is the base property cover and is written on named perils, so it pays only for the causes listed in the schedule.

  • Fire, lightning, and explosion of domestic and industrial appliances
  • Allied perils added by endorsement: storm, flood, escape of water, impact, riot and malicious damage
  • Buildings, machinery, furniture, stock and tenant's improvements
  • Debris removal and professional fees on reinstatement

Sums insured are declared on reinstatement value, and if they fall below the true figure at the time of loss the average condition reduces the claim in the same proportion. Wider cover is available under a property all risks wording.

How it works

From enquiry to cover

1
We map the risk

A short conversation about what you do and what you own, so the cover matches reality.

2
We go to the market

We compare wording and limits across insurers, not the premium alone.

3
You choose, we place

We explain the differences in plain terms, then place the policy you pick.

4
We run the claim

If something happens, the file is ours to follow through to settlement.
